valentine's day surprise

this was the 3rd valentine's day that dominic and i have been together but the first time we have gotten to spend it together...i received flowers on thursday afternoon...they are beautiful...friday night while i was working some friends of ours asked if we wanted to join them saturday night for dinner at a restuarant in new york...we said sure since we hadn't planned anything big...they were going to call the next day and find out if they could add us to the reservation...saturday morning came and dom and i went to breakfast in town...we came home and watched a movie...i took a nap...around 2:30 dom said he was going into town to get food for dinner just in case we werent able to be added to dinner...he was gone for over an hour...in that time our friends called and said that we were able to join them...we needed to leave our house by 4:30...dominic got home and we got ready to leave...i, as usual, took longer to get ready then dom...he was downstairs waiting for me...i walked downstairs and he told me that i looked good but that i would look even better with this on my hand....at this point he pulled out a ring box....i started to cry and hug him...he asked me to marry him and i said yes...we were both tearing up...lots of hugging and kissing...i said yes...then opened the ring box...it was so amazing!!! (he was gone for over an hour because he called my dad, picked the ring up at a friend's house where he had it delivered, and got food)
we went to dinner and had an impromptu engagement party with our friends...it was a great night! thank you to everyone for sharing our excitement with us...the following are pictures of my ring...
