what a start

yesterday was my last day of officially working for the summer. i drove down to iowa to meet dominic. the drive was ok, seemed to take forever...usually does when you are excited about getting somewhere. dom had to work this morning so i thought i would go for a run...got out there and it had just finished raining which i thought was a good sign...about half a mile into my run it started to rain...i thought no problem...a little rain never melted me in the past....about a mile into the run i caught in a thunderstorm...i decided to turn around and run back to the car...it is amazing to me how much wet clothes weigh! ha cars were speeding past me in the rain and i think some of them must have thought i was crazy because one car actually turned around and asked if i wanted a ride to my car...because of the lightning...of course i turned it down...thought id take my chances with the lightning..haha
got back to my car and was soaked!! i actually had to wring out my clothes back at the hotel...what a way to start off summer vacation huh? the felt great though especially since i had to run as fast as i could carrying my wet weight.
